Hi 

I am in Devon and not in London and unfortunately because of
where I live  am not allowed to have an assistant dog or
guide dog but perhaps that would help. It must be a big
problem with cars parking on pavements for you guide dog
users, yes the technology is there so I will be able to find
or adapt somethi ng. 


Years ago there was a group called remap, do they still
exist?

hi adrien even though i have brilliant hearing of late i
find getting around is becomming very nearly impossible
because of parked cars in my local area being fully on the
pavement. the dog is great but the vans have mirrors at eye
level and it's a damn worry. last saturday i went to do a
tuning so had to catch the bus from where i live and there
were seven vehicles fully on the damn kerb. i also wonder
the same as you i think there was a sonic torch years back
that was invented and for the first time in my life i hate
walking about now. there must be something about for you
though with all this techie stuff around. i think i am going
to win the lottery and employ a full time driver.

Hi

I am in a wheelchair and am visually impaired, I am
looking for a device that will alert me if i am about to
crash into something, I know there are gadgets for walking
visually impaired but am looking for something that will
help me from knee high. I have a brain injury and it only
takes a second for me to lose concentration and i hit a door
or a wall or another person. Something to alert me would be
useful. I know the technology is out there but it is finding
it in a form I can use. any ideas please guys?
