Billy, you could of course take the plunge and go for Vista.
So long as it's one of the Home Versions with Media player,
you can use JAWS Standard with it. I got an extremely tasty
HP laptop for my wife this Xmass for a penny under £650 with
Home Premium on it, 2 GB RAM, 120 GB hard drive, CD-RW drive
(Dual Layer and Lite Scribe), web cam and more bells and
whistles than she knows what to do with.

Now that sales are on, I expect prices to drop even more.
And with Vista Service Release one due out fairly soon, plus
the screen readers settling in, it could be a good time to
buy all round.

George.

George, yes I thought so.
It is so difficult getting a laptop at a reasonable price
with xp home or xp
pro,
Ah well, back to the drawing board,
Billy

Sorry, Billy, but you will need JAWS Professional for XP
Media Centre.

hi guys,
I've got the chance of getting a laptop computer at a
reasonable price, it
is running: Microsoft Windows XP Media Centre Edition.
Anyone know which versions of Jaws will work with this xp
version?,
Billy
