If you have no other spam filtering software, the junk e-mail facility sends
anything it thinks is spam to the junk folder, not the deleted items folder.

When you go into tools menu with alt T and then press O for options, you
will probably be in the preferences page. If not, control tab until you
hear preferences. The first item should be junk e-mail options, so press
enter on that, or tab across if not and then press enter. You will then
find some radio buttons which allow you to choose how junk e-mail is dealt
with. I have mine checked on the top radio button, no filtering, as I have
another spam filtering program. If you want a higher option, just cursor
down till you hear what you think would be best, then tab across to ok and
press enter. Press enter again to come out of the options menu.

Unfortunately it is always necessary to check either the junk folder or spam
folder, if this has been created with other software. The advantage of this
is that sometimes e-mail you do want is put in the junk or spam folder by
accident, as the program picks up something it regards as suspicious in the
message. Spam is a great nuisance, and if nobody ever responded to it the
problem would go away, but sadly there are still plenty of gullible folk who
will respond to spam messages, buy something they are offering, or even give
their bank account details to scammers and lose money in the process.

I hope this ramble has helped.

Subject: [access-uk] junk senders list

Hi

Please can somebody explain to me how the junk senders list
works in outlook 2003? does it block e-mails at the server
or does it send messages straight to the deleted folder?

Regards

Adrien
