I’m not sure what that judgement means. I have used a large variety of iPhone
screen sizes with and without sight. I have also used Braille input in a number
of Apple environments.

Hi Ian,
Thanks. The jack plug matter is interesting: I assume that the Lightning-jack
converter is a small DAC? I think I’ll probably go for the SE; I believe you
have sufficient vision to be able to use the larger screen?

Mike

Not really advising Michael just wanted to make sure you had both sides of
the story regarding the 3.5 jack socket issue. I have a 7 Plus which I fully
appreciate is too big for many people’s preference but I like it a lot.

Hi Ian,
Are you advising to go for iPhone7 rather than SE? Is the cost difference
value for money do you think?
Cheers,
Mike

I don’t agree with this. Apple has substituted an analogue 3.5mm jack
socket for a digital lightning input. They also supply a pair of EarPods
with a lightning connector and a lightning to 3.5 adaptor. In addition
it’s entirely possible to use any bluetooth pair of headphones even if you
can’t or don’t want to shell out the hundred and sixty quid on a pair of
Apple Airpods. Don’t know about the 7 but the 7 Plus also has an
additional speaker which, being mounted on the front of the handset makes
VO much easier to hear and use.

Mo points out a valuable difference...the headphone socket!
This really is a missing factor on the Iphone 7!

Hi Mike.
Yes, the 5SE has a headphone jack on it. the iPhone 7 doesn't. the
iPhone SE is easier to handle, the 7 is larger. So No, in my humble
opinion there isn't much you'd gain.
cheers,
Mo.
