Hi David,
not sure what difficulties you had with XP built in utilitty, but you can
simply use windows explorer to do this. When you say CD copying I assume
you mean writing from harddrive to CD or the other way round, or even CD to
CD, also I use nero and find it quite easy to use with jaws.
