Hi.

Do you know where you can get these probes from Carol?

I also use that one and like it, though there used to be an older model of the Colortest (probably before Jackie's 2000 model) that I really loved and I felt was a better all-rounder if you only have one; but alas that's gone by the wayside now so you'll be best probably to go with the Colorino. The one thing about this is that it takes ordinary batteries, unlike the old model where I needed to send it back for a replacement battery and that died within a few months!

Sorry, now I'm waffling!

Hi Jackie.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll be getting a caretech model,
though I know one of them I was told costs hundreds of pounds,
certainly more than I would be willing to spend. £70 sounds pritty
good however, especially if its ultra small as I love compact gagets.
I'll be at sight village in July, I'll probably take a look then and
see what is available.
All the best and thanks for your suggestions.

Hi Ibrahim

I have three, and believe me when I tell you I use them all. I know
you don't like the Cobolt detector, so I'll tell you what I can
about the other two. These are the Colortest 2000 and Colorino,
both from Caretec. I love these two, particularly the Colorino, as
it is nice and small. The Colortest has lots of other features
including games, clock, alarm and system info. I don't know how
much it costs as I was given it. The Colorino must have cost me
about £70, but I bought it a few years ago now. This one goes
everywhere with me as it's small, and acts as a light probe as well.

I highly rate the Caretec probes, but others may offer you further
suggestions or opinions on their findings too.

Hi Everyone.

I'm vaguely interested in buying a colour probe to help with sorting
the washing, matching clothing etc. I've tried and dislike the
Cobolt model, so I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea as
to what else is available. I believe Caretech models are good so
information on these would be appreciated as well as their
approximate costs. All the best, Ibrahim.
