Hi Ibrahim I'll do that and if that doesn't work, anyone standing below my window had better look out because a Bluetooth headset and dongle might be dropping on their head with a great force! Did you look under the error messages section? The author explains how to uninstall then reinstall the Bluetooth device. The reason the widcomm Bluetooth software probably won't install is because it can't find a compatible Bluetooth device, but if you follow the instructions on the website I told you about, let me know if you have better luck. Who'd have thought getting Bluetooth up and running would be so complicated? *smile*. All the best, Ibrahim. ----- Original Message ----- From: Barbara Wilson To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, July 03, 2009 12:06 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: bluetooth headsets Hi Ibrahim Had a read at that Website and it certainly is very well written from an ordinary user's perspective and not from a technical expert. However, despite my Bluetooth being installed and plugged in and working, I have no Bluetooth icon in my System Tray, so nothing to click on to start the connection process. My headset is paired with the PC, but I can't connect as there is nothing on my computer related to Bluetooth. I downloaded the latest drivers for my dongle, but no software is showing up in my program list. On a quick search on Google, I came across this website which should answer all your questions. I'm devouring it as I write, but for anyone thinking of pairing their mobile phone headset with the computer especially the latest Bluetooth 2.0 standard models, this website has all the information you'll need in one place. The website is www.bluetoothpcheadsets.com.
