[access-uk] any more offers on nokia update manager, please

Hi All
My mate recently tried to use the update manager on his 6630.
Unfortunately, during the update, his usb lead disconnected, and the whole
process ground to a halt.
It appears now that his phone is dead. It doesn't seem to power up, no lights
on the screen either.
Windows sees it attaching as a usb device, but not as a 6630.
The phone worked fine before he tried updating the phone software.
Is there anyway of retrieving this situation, or is the phone knackered.
