Karen, There was a version of JAWS, a little while back now, where this was a problem. The answer (of course, grins) was to upgrade. I can't remember exactly which version but probably 5.0, or there abouts - give or take one or two! If you have the latest version already - 5.10.350 (I think it is) then that's unlikely to be the problem and certainly isn't for me. The workaround in the older version was to simply open another window (CTRL+N). The previous window remains open until you close it but you do have that second window which usually loads OK.
