Well, you'll be happy to see http://www.toshiba.co.uk and
their laptops.  Here's a summary of 21 models shown as of a
few minutes ago.

XP Home = 3
XP Professional = 7 
Windows Media Edition = 5
Windows Tablet = 2
Windows Vista = FOUR.

And their web page even says, "Toshiba recommends Windows
Vista".

It doesn't seem that way to me!

Hmm, probably best to ask if anyone can lend you a copy of
this month's
Compute IT and Access IT so that you can find out who wrote
it. It was
featured in some news item at the beginning of the magazine.
Good to
hear though that some companies will still be shipping XP on
their
machines. Maybe our next machines could be a Dell one, but
we, as laptop
users, prefer Toshiba for their reliability and good
performance with
screen readers.
