OK, fine, but you would need to change the setting to ''download updates but let me choose whether to install them', or 'check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them'. Once the setting is saved, windows will inform you about updates. At that stage, click on the notification icon and open the window. Tab down to the '# important updates are available' and press enter. This will open a window for you to check or uncheck the downloads. Choose the ones you want and then click 'OK'. Then click 'Install'. Just press the 'Windows' key and type 'windows update' in the search box and press enter. This will open the update panel. Tab to the 'Change settings' button and press enter. On the screen that appears you have a variety of options to change how windows update delivers new software/updates. Hoep this helps. Seems that my phone sends emails on its own after they reach certain character liMIT. Hopefully this is the last 1. So basically what Im trying to ask is if there is a way to have windows notify me when there are updates to download and or install but for me to review and install them. Thanks and once again sorry for multiple emails. -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity. So my question is if there is a way for windows update in windows 7 to have it download them automatically but for me to be able to review them and to choose if and when to install them. As far as I remember there are 3 options in control panel to have updates automatically downloaded and installed to have only Important ones automaticlly downloaded and installed or to update manuaolly. But surely there is a way to be notified -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity.
