Hi Damon. First of all you need to select the laptop keyboard. Ho to JAWS with insert j (there should be an insert on most laptops). select the options menu and select basics. One of the options here is laptop keyboard. When this is selected you have the laptop keyboard where the caps lock is the jaws key. press this twice to quickly to change the status of the caps lock key. Capslock p is jaws coursor and capslock semi-colon is PC cursor. Capslock Apostrophe is Route PC to JAWS and capslock left bracket (to the right of P is route JAWS to PC. they are the keystrokes you asked about but you will find many others such as read previous/current/next line, word or sentence are available with capslock. see the keyboard Commands section in JAWS Help. You may know that in JAWS 8 there is a quick start wizard that appears when you first run jaws. This has been extended in JAWS 9 and it allows you to say whether numlock is started, decide voice rate and punctuation, decide what kind of keyboard layout you want to use and more. Hi there. Can someone tell me how to use the jaws cursor on a laptop that doesn't have a num pad? How do you route jaws to PC cursor and then back again to PC cursor?
