Hi list:

Having just spoken to cobolt about the demise of the voila talking label
reader, for one, I am very disappointed at the discontinuation of this
product, as the nearest equivalent of the reader is the voxcom, which I have
used previously. The voxcom in my view is large, clunky, and prone to
problems as it is mechanical in its nature and the cards can transfer dirt
onto the contacts inside the unit, eventually rendering a £100 piece of kit
useless. Both my voxcom readers only lasted six months or so. This, I
admit, is only my experience, has anyone else had this problem with the
readers? I've passed my comments onto cobolt, although I know cobolt don't
actually make the product. I believe the product is made by maxiaid in the
US. Hope to hear from you soon.

From Martin.
