Brilliant idea Clive but to the b best of my knowledge one has to sign up to
comment and there is usually a visual image to recognise so that knocks me
out.

Hello all,

Before more people unsubscribe from the list due to heavy traffic on this
topic, perhaps we can go public on the subject, by posting comments on the
Guardian website in response to Ian Macrae's article. It's not just to
alleviate potential traffic problems on the list, but here we are preaching
to the choir. On the Guardian website, more sighted people may get to read
about, please pardon the pun, how we feel about Braille.

Best,
Clive

Subject: [access-uk] The Braille conversation

Hi all,
I have learnt much from this list, and been helped out by a lot of people,
so thank you.
However, I am about to unsubscribe for the moment.
Life is too short to read people's individual experiences with Braille, we
all have them, and I'm not sure this list is the place to share them.
For those who enjoy this discussion, I leave you with this:
"Braille is amazing just as steam trains were, and still are to some people
- digital technology is amazing, being able to see around me, check the
colour of my shirt and eexperience the weather before I go out in to it,,
and know where my pizza and trains are by consulting the relatively
inexpensive rectangle in my pocket is good too" ...
