I knew I wouldn’t get a decent talking watch from the RNIB, so I bought a real
beauty from The Stalking Watch Company in Blackpool.
It isn’t that cheap, costing, I think, £169, but it is gold, has an expandable
bracelet and is radio controlled, meaning I always get the perfect time.
There are two very clear voices, the mail speaking the 12-hour lock, and the
female, the 24-hour clock.
I have no idea about battery usage as I haven’t had it long enough, and of
course it all depends on frequently you want the time told.
I would say this is a quality timepiece, and my friends say it looks gorgeous.
Finally, I should say I am not in the employ of the company.

Afternoon Folks
Wonder if anyone could suggest where I can purchase a good quality men’s
tactile watch?
I purchased the £24.99 tactile watch from the RNIB about three weeks ago and
had to return it owing to the minute finger falling off and loose glass cover.
Just received the replacement this morning and hey presto! Whilst setting the
time the second finger flew off.
I was told at my initial purchase that there was no other choice apart from the
Bradley time piece which is well over £200. Is this yet another example of the
RNIB Not Really Interested in Blind people?
