Hi DJ, Glad the drives are good. At least that's 1 thing out of the equation. If your drivers are up to date, and they are, might it be a dying sound= card? If the crackling occurs from any sound source,=20 say 2 audio sources at 44.1 KHZ then the card is=20 not switching sampling rates, then it might be=20 down to the sound card shop and flex your wallet. may be a failing chip, but with out a circuit=20 diagram there's probably not alot you can do=20 about that.
