although i haven't used these particular free programs to do what you want
to do they can be used together to do exactly this plus much more.
the lady who wrote them sadly died a few years ago but her programs are
still available to download.
so if you visit:
www.karenware.com
then click on the link for free programs and then you need to download the
2 programs:
show stopper
and
count down timer
the first one allows you to create short cuts to do all sorts of things
including shutting down the computer, and you use the second one to create a
timer that can activate programs and shortcuts at a particular time or date
and you would use it to activate the shortcut that you create for shutting
down the computer.
