No, I know how to do that; in forms mode it does not speak as you type and if
you backspace it takes you right back.

Hi Mike, when you find that edit box, just press the enter key and you should
find you can then type in the box. By pressing enter, your infact turning on
the forms field.

I tried to set up a page on Facebook; but have found it near impossible to
add any text to the page. There is an edit box, but when I try to type in it
the text does not seem to go in; if I hit backspace it takes me out of the page
and to the root web page I started on, that is, Google.
