Hi Roger,

Simple answer, speed. An SSD or Solid State Drive will be much faster and
has no mechanical parts.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] SSD Drives

Could someone tell me the advantages of using SSD drives over the normal HD
drives please. Going by the large difference in price I assume there must be
one but when I can buy a HD disc for less than £50 whereas a SSD disc will
cost around £200 I wonder if the advantages will be worth the extra cost.

Many thanks

Roger
