Pardon my ignorance, but I have yet to delve into this technology, so I
wonder whether members could enlighten me.

On my computer there are four slots for cards, all of which feel a bit
different. Two are long, one thick and one thin, and two are short, again
one thick and one thin. I have a Book Courier which takes Compact Flash
cards, and I assume that one of these slots will take that type of card too.

I am aware that the new version of Book Courier will be able to take SD
cards, and that other gadgets such as the Victor Stream and Milestone can
also take them. Are there different types of SD card, and which should I
choose? I gather Compact Flash is going out of favour.

Any expertise on this subject would be much appreciated.
