Hi Andy,

Go to the Tools menu and choose Options.

The Scan/Open Image tab includes a checkbox to "Split duel Pages".

The Recognition tab includes radio buttons for the document type, such as
Automatic and Single Column. Choosing the latter should make your columns
more readable.

HTH.

Cheers.

Ian

Subject: [access-uk] Reading columns in Finereader

Hi all -

I use Finereader as my OCR programme, and think it excellent. I'd love to
know how to read columns though. I've been given a sheet of peoples names
and phone numbers, but they are in different columns, and I need to change
some settings, as at the moment, the scanned results reads the names first,
and then a long list of phone numbers second, so need to get it to read
strait across, but haven't yet found out how to do this!

Thanks for any help.

Andy
