Hello,
You can record on the audio described channels as well as the regional channels and you can watch one channel and record on another, or record 2 channels at once, or watch one you have already recorded and record on 2 channels at the same time. You will have to have an engineer install it as they have to modify you receiver on your dish and add another wire from it to the box.

   Best wishes, Tony Pearce

Subject: [access-uk] Questions re Skyplus

Hi, there's been a few emails re Skyplus of late which have sparked my
interest in getting it but have a few remaining questions which I'm sure
listers can answer:

When you are choosing which programmes you want to record are you able to
choose on which channel to record from e.g. the BBC1 London feed that gives
audio description?
Can you watch another sky channel whilst Skyplus is recording a programme on
another?
How accessible is the unit for basic functions i.e. starting & stopping an
instant record, playing back recorded material?

also, I already have an existing basic sky decoder, is it simply a case of
buying the Skyplus box and plugging it in and letting it run setup or does
it need to be installed by a Sky engineer?

Many thanks,

Phil
