There no longer is a new event panel. Events are listed in the conversation list for each of your contacts. -


I speak largely theoretically, though, as I only use a portable version of skype 4.1 and still use skype 3.8 for my main version.

alternatively you can get "AudioID for Skype", a fre utility that
announces Skype caller ID with sapi 5 speech. YOu can get the program from

skypewatch is currently very limited in its functionality with skype
4.x and some may find the instructions to set up skypewatch a bit daunting.
