hi wendy, you can connect this unit in to many different things. such as, hi-fi, pc, portable speakers and if your television if you have one you can use the phono plugs and the line out socket on the phillips player.

I have now bought the Philips portable DVD player which was recommended to
me on this list, and many thanks for that. It is a lovely little unit, and
plays all my DVD's fine. I got it because some DVD's wouldn't play on my
PC, see my other message on this topic.

The little speakers in the unit are very good, but you don't get a lot of
bass, and I was wondering whether I could use an external speaker plugged
into the headphone jack. Perhaps this should be a pair of speakers to get
the stereo effect. I don't have anything suitable here at the moment, so
any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Wendy
