Thanks Andrew, You're right - it was an upgrade from 2000. Could you tell me how to get rid of the problem please? Thanks. -- Internal Virus Database is out-of-date. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.6 - Release Date: 06/05/2005

Hi, You probably have a ghost entry in the directory listing which is pointing to an LDAP server that is not there. I have seen these happen when you upgrade from Outlook 2000 to 2003, especially if you are in a mixed environment/upgrade from one and downgrade to the other. Thanks. Org Subject: [access-uk] OUTLOOK 2003 QUESTIONS Hi, Have just installed this programme, and wondered if someone could help with a question: When I open the prog to pick up messages, I get a message asking me to put in my username and password; the server name is "null" the port something else, and the password blank. Pressing esc or enter lets me pick up mail. Again when writing the e-mail address of the recipient of a message, I get a message about not being able to contact LPAD directory. What's all that about then? Enlightenment awaited with interest. I have to say that I don't like 2003 as well as 2000 at the moment - although that may be coz I haven't read up on it much yet.
