Hi Peter, Juice certainly is ready and the windows version is very accessible. Go to http://www.tdspodcast.com, and look for Juice on the main page. You should find it there. Its also in its testing phase and not fully developed. Do you have a second favourite pod catcher? Peter -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Nutt Sent: 08 January 2006 01:05 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: New Podcast Hi Carol, Firstly, to download the Podcast, I recommend Juice, http://juice.sourceforge.net. The reason a Podcatcher as it tends to be called, is the preferred method, is that it just does things in the background. So every time I produce a new Podcast, if you subscribe, it is automagically downloaded for you, without you having to go to the web site and download it. It will even be put nicely into a folder for you called Ourplace. All you need do then, is look every so often in that folder, to see if there are any new shows. As for sampling, that is not really a problem, as I will probably resample if it is too high or too low, by recording any feedback directly to the show. Thanks for your interest Carol. You have a fan or two here! <SMILE> Please tell me again what I should get to download podcasts and why is this so much better/easier than just downloading files in the normal way? I want to be persuaded in this . . .. Also, what sampling rate and bit rates would you want us to use, please? -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Nutt Sent: Saturday, January 07, 2006 9:48 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] New Podcast Hi folks, I hope this is not off topic here, as it is nothing to do with my business as such, except that it resides on the comproom domain. We have just set up a new podcast, called Our Place. This is where anything could happen, and probably will. There is no set format for the show yet, but we would like to do sound seeing tours, tech reviews of gadgets, and anything that takes our fancy, and fun stuff like that. I shall also sometimes be playing some music from the Podsafe Music Network, http://www.podsafemusicnetwork.com. There is nothing really professional about this Podcast, it will hopefully be relaxed and informal. It is presented by Angie and I, and if you want to subscribe to our first attempt, please point your Pod catcher to http://www.comproom.co.uk/ourplace/ourplace.xml. If you would like to read the shownotes, and download the latest episode directly, to hear us waffle, please go to http://www.comproom.co.uk/ourplace.htm. Finally, if you would like to send us audio feedback, features, comments, or anything audio, please send a message with an MP3 attached to ourplace@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and we will certainly consider playing it on the show. Moderators, if this is off topic, I apologise, but as it is in the spirit of fun hopefully, I thought I would post here. Thanks, and have a great New Year all.
