Hello everyone,

Today I took delivery of my Micro=speak digital recorder purchased from Computer Room Services. After listening to the pre-recorded MP3 file, I started to make test recordings. Before I had read the documentation found in the User guides folder, wondering how files are deleted, I pressed and held the play/pause button and heard the spoken prompt asking if I wanted to delete the selected file. I had just been playing the MP3 file, so after hearing one beep I pressed the play/pause button again and heard the file had been deleted. Just as well I had listened to it!

Just to let you know, when you want to delete a file, No is selected by default, indicated by two beeps. Press either the next or previous buttons and you will hear one beep and Yes will be selected.

I tried listening with headphones and found you cannot monitor the recording level.

Now I have read the documentation, there is no mention of single message playback. If there is more than one recording, the unit carries on playing the next message and then goes back to the first after all have been played. Is there a reason for this? I can see it could be useful for learning a passage of music, for example, so maybe there is no way to change from continuous to single message playback.

I am very impressed with the very clear recording quality and sound from its bassy speaker and there is no distortion at maximum volume level.

I would be interested to hear from those on the list who have purchased one of these recorders.

Best wishes,

Clive Pallett
