If there is no means for the software to provide you with the necessary
information, then a physical means should suffice. Perform another scan with
the document half-displaced from the scanning region. If you have displaced the
lower half then the reading will start at the top, and if you have displaced
the upper half, then the document reading will start half-way down.
If displacement is not easy, then find some means of blanking-off half of the
document from the scan.
