Hi John that actually answers my question. Would you uncheck it again after
having transferred the data?

Andy, show hidden files on the computer you're copying from. I don't myself
use vista, I use xp pro, but I imagine the proceedure is similar for both. In
control panel go to folder options, go to the view tab, tab down till you get
to the file and folder options, and cursor down to hidden files and folders.
Check the option to show. then just tab to apply and OK.
                        John.

Thanks Barbara - I'm not sure in the case of software, if I just need to
do a select all, cut, and paste, on to a flash drive, John mentioned turning on
hidden folders, not sure how necessary this is, and if it just needs to be done
on the netbook, where the installation will be taking place, or on the laptop,
where the software will be coppied from? -

        Hi Andy

That is how I installed JAWS and Window Eyes, so I would imagine it
would work with Office too.

          Hi all -

If I buy a software cd of office 2007, can I just copy it on to a
flash drive to install on to my netbook?

          Andy
