Hi Brian, I gave up with the I Tunes software despite reading accounts of people being able to access the list of songs put on to the Ipod through the Itunes software. I now use Anapod explorer from redchair software. I think its

www.redchairsoftware.com

No problems using it at all.

If you want to persist with Itunes I'd write to the Jaws list to get some advise their as thats where I read the hints on using the Itunes software.

Subject: [access-uk] ITunes

Hi
Further to my message about using an IPod yesterday, I have now been able to
send files across to the unit easily enough. However, it is the ITunes
software from Apple that I have been struggling with particularly. ITunes
allows you among other things to organise music on your PC, including
getting material ready for transfer to the IPod. More importantly, this is
the vehicle used for deleting material.
Unfortunately, there is lots of information which apparently is available on
the screen but which no screen-reader that I have seems to announce at all,
even using the screen-readers screen review mode. For example, I am unable
to view any tracks which are available in what Apple calls the source list,
which essentially means what tracks you have added.
However, I recently read an article in Access World (March 2005), which
indicates that it is indeed possible to use it if you are prepared to
exercise some patience, which I have a lot of (smile), and are prepared to
use the jaws or window-eyes cursors for example.
I am hoping someone on this list can please make some positive suggestions.
I like the size of this mp3 player, and I want to keep it, if there is a
chance it can work.
If anyone fancies downloading the ITunes software to take a look what it is
like visually, it can be downloaded free of charge from
http://www.ipod.com
then you need to select the ITunes link, and download version 4.8.
Thanks for any help anyone may be able to give with this.
