Hi George,
I found that if I uninstalled adobe 8 completely via add/remove, and then
installed adobe 9, the problem did not occur. However, as I was able to
install version 7 over the top of version 6 and then 8 over 7, I am still
baffled as to why I had to uninstall 8 before installing 9.
