Douglas, contact Google and see if they can help. Maybe this ability only works for those who's signed up recently, but who knows. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Douglas Harrison Sent: 26 July 2007 10:06 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: I love Google Mail! Thanks for this, Christopher - you have really got me worried now! I just went to my account, switched to Basic View and activated the Settings link. I copied and paste below the message which appeared lower down the screen - "Mail Settings Settings can only be changed from Google Mail's standard view. Switch to standard view" I originally wondered whether it had something to do with using different screen readers, but that hardly seems likely. What worried me is that earlier this month I contributed an article on Google mail to an on line magazine and in it I gave the inability to change Settings from Basic View as a problem of which newcomers to Gmail needed to be aware. My credibility destroyed with one sentence!
