The WebbIE and Claro Accessible PDF programs are the same (I wrote
them both), and both use the commandline PDFTOHTML program from
http://pdftohtml.sourceforge.net/ (so they are both open-source).

Hi Adrien,
I'm not sure if this will work for you, but I have downloaded a
program that converts PDF to TXT in seconds. The text files work
great on the Stream as well. Unfortunately, I don't have the link
anymore, but you could probably find it if you went to Google, or
any other major search engine and just typed in PDF to TXT, which is
the name of the program. It is a free download and I think that you
run the file to install and then save to the desktop, or at least,
that is what I did. To convert a file, you highlight the file
without opening it, press the applications key to open the context
menu and choose the sent to option. Then choose PDF to TXT from the
list of programs. Then just follow the prompts. I have found it
quite easy to use and the only files it will not work on are PDF
Image only files. Feel free to Email me off list if you have any
questions.
