Hi Eleanor,

I have taken up the issue with my health & safety union rep, and it has
been reported to those in charge of the building in which I work, but,
cones are still being used all around the building and the worst example
is where they have been placed right in front of the disabled toilet
door and on stairs.

I have pointed out that all that is needed is for warning signs to be
placed on the doors which need to be used in order to access the areas
in which the cones are being used. I have also pointed out that the
only warning that would be of any use to a blind person, is an audible
one.

As for what to do with the cones, may I suggest adding a chin strap, and
making those who insist on using them, wear them!

Cheers

Dave Ankers

I don't know of any list Dave but if I were in your position I would be
discussing the issue with Occupational Health in any case. Perhaps we
could design sonic ones!

Eleanor
