Gordon,

I was getting more and more infuriated, but was pleased at the happy ending.

I do hope all goes well for you from now on.

Best of luck to you.

Hi

Here's the saga:

Procedure cancelled on the day following an early morning start at 04:30 to
have breakfast by 5:00 then start for Plymouth to get there by 08:00 Cost
of car for mdw and myself 46 quid

Had all the drama of gowning up and have various sharp things stuck into me
and electronic gadgets stuck to my body followed by 3 hours of waiting only
to be told sorry it has to be rescheduled because of an emergency ( fair
enough, hope the other patient recovered ) so have to go home ( btw still
haven't eaten since 05:00 ) one bright spot our fares will be refunded and a
hospital car will take us home. Unfortunately marching from ward to
cashiers has brought on an attack so have to take GTN spray works it's
magic ..off we go to the ward again but the lack of sugar in my blood and
the blood pressure lowering qualities of the spray results in me collapsing
in the Day room
Four nurses grab me and hoist me on to a bed and rush me to the ward. More
sharp things and electronic gadgets, two hours later white coat appears and
says perhaps a cup of sweet tea might help - it does.
Finally get a sandwich and another cuppa before being passed in to the hands
of the worlds most boring driver for an even longer trip home as the driver
has to deliver another patient on the way - get home in shock at 19:00.

Await new date.

Hospital forget to tell booking service, lose my records.

They have to give me a date within 28 days of the cancelled date, with two
weeks they cannot meet their own deadline so I am entitled to go private and
charge it to NHS.

How strange, I get an appointment within four days and have now had new
plumbing work done on my heart.

Is this on topic?

Yes always check your rights on NHS and assorted large organisations web
sites carefully when a cock up arises and trust your speech synthesiser.

Regards
