Thanks. This was a new phone and it was set up so that it locked after it
was turned off. We had to go into the settings menu to change it.
All fine now. Thanks very much.

Depends what you mean by unlock?
Key 1 (top left) then Star (bottom left) does it on most phones. Some of the
newer phones it is key 1 and then key 2 (top right).
