Hi,

You could simply put:

=average(a1:a12) to determine the average, or mean in the given cells.

Mike

Steve,

All but mean are straightforward, because they have functions in Excel. So
assuming you have 12 numbers in cells A1 to A12, in the cell you want the
answer you would put:

=MEDIAN(A1:A12)

=MODE(A1:A12)

=STDEV(A1:A12)

To get the mean, you could put:

=SUM(A1:A12)/COUNT(A1:A12)

In other words, add up the cell contents and divide by the number of
non-blank cells

If you wanted, you could put the formulae in a sheet and use A100 instead of
A12. Then when you get a set of numbers, you just populate column A
somewhere between A1 and A100. Blank cells are counted in the formulae, so
you could have 20 numbers or 70, the formulae would still work.

Hi Guys,

Can Anyone tell me how to do mean, median, mode and standard deviation
formulae with jaws in excel?

Is there a good tutorial for excel 2010 available?

Thanks in advance

Steve
