So assuming you have 12 numbers in cells A1 to A12, in the cell you want the answer you would put: =MEDIAN(A1:A12) =MODE(A1:A12) =STDEV(A1:A12) To get the mean, you could put: =SUM(A1:A12)/COUNT(A1:A12) In other words, add up the cell contents and divide by the number of non-blank cells If you wanted, you could put the formulae in a sheet and use A100 instead of A12. Then when you get a set of numbers, you just populate column A somewhere between A1 and A100. Blank cells are counted in the formulae, so you could have 20 numbers or 70, the formulae would still work.
