[access-uk] Re: Eset Smart Security and the Startup Scan

Hi.

I don't think there is a way of disabling the startup scan. Is there any particular reason why you'd want to do this anyway?

All the best, Ibrahim.

Thanks for the suggestion Martin, but I've got nothing in Scheduler that looks remotely like what you describe. I've just got one item in there, Show System Tasks, with the option of whether to check or uncheck. It seems to be unchecked by default. Checking it also made no discernable change.

And as for you Steve, not knowing the answer, this for me was particularly unsettling! smile.

Selevt advanced display, then Go to the skedular and uncheck the scan at
system startup, I think that's how it's done, if unchecking does not work,
select the option to be removed and tab to delete. Hth.

Hi Darren,

I don't. But if you find it, please let me know.

Thanks.

All the best

Hi List.

I'm trying to find the area in the options to turn off the system scan at
every start-up.

I have found where to alter the option to scan or not to scan at shutdown,
but the start-up scan has so far alluded me.

Does anyone know where I might locate this option?

Thanks in advance.

Darran
