You change the sound card through the sound cards choice, under the JAWS
utilities menu. Jfw.ini is no longer required to change this setting
manually. Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] Editing the JFW.INI file for ex sound card

Hi all.

I'm wanting JAWS to run through my Intel(r) Integrated Audio, on-board sound

card, whilst directing all other audio to my Creative Labs 24 bit
Soundblaster card.

I've edited the JFW.INI file as below. My edition is in adding the middle
line:

Synth1LongName=Eloquence Software
synth1port=Intel(r) Integrated Audio
Synth1Driver=eloq

When I re-boot the XP Home computer with JAWS 11, all audio content is
coming through the Soundblaster card.

My thinking is that either I've done something wrong, or version 11 will not

allow me to run two sound cards.

Any advice would be very much welcomed.

Very best wishes.
Andy.
