Eleanor, yes, I've been there. A3 copies of stuff are usually poor in quality 
and you can't stuff them into an A4 scanner, though you could fold them in half 
if you've got any chance of working out which side is which.

What a potty world we have to live in!

There is nothing more irritating than people thinking if they put something 
on A3 paper a visually impaired person will be able to read it. How often I 
have had this done even at University. Holding an A3 page is a challenge in 
itself never mind reading it.
