Hi Trace - Are you able to use it without sighted help for setting and 
recording direct from the TV?

  Mine's a panasonic, its a combi and is the only one they make, not sure of 
the model number, finalising the discs is the problem as you have to go in to 
the menu's, I know the button presses and hope!!

    Can anybody using a stand alone DVD recorder successfully to record from
