Hi. Which router do you own? The router may be a wireless router, but the wireless signal may be coming from your neighbour. Also what is this hub of which you speak? Some more info is really needed. Thanks. Andrew. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on behalf of Husna Begum Sent: Thu 08/12/2005 07:53 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Connecting wirelessly to the internet Hi, I have a router handling the internet connection. The router is connected to a hub and each of the computers is connected to the hub as well. However, i don't think there is a wireless port on the hub but when i turn on the computer i want to connect wirelessly it says 1 or more wireless networks has been detected (although for the last couple of days it has been saying wireless network is disconnected) what does this mean? does it mean i have a wireless connection available already that i can use to connect to the internet? What equipment do you use to actually make the Internet connection? Do you have a router which handles the Internet traffic to the two computers, or does one machine act as the internet machine giving the other computer access? What I mean is I am connecting 2 computers to a hub using ethanet cables but I also want to connect another computer to the same network but I want to do it wirelessly. Is this possible and how would I achieve it? do I have to buy anything extra?
