Hi all, has anyone had any issues upgrading to Vista SP1 on an HP Compaq
Presario C700 Notebook PC? I suppose I could contact HP Support myself, but
as I haven't registered the laptop and I don't know my serial number anyway,
unless someone can point me to where I can find it, I thought I'd ask on
here. Many thanks. I'd like to update to SP1 to see if it will resolve some
issues, particularly with my sound card.

It certainly shouldn't be doing this, and from looking at Help on this
subject, it may be a BIOS problem in so much as it is either not turned on
properly in BIOS, or perhaps not supported at all.

Almost impossible to do without sighted help I know, but it may be worth
looking at upgrading the BIOS.

Just one other thought. Have you applied Vista Service Pack
1 yet? I found that fixed quite a number of issues with my own system.

George.

Hi. Every time I send my Vista machine to sleep it wakes up in 30 seconds
time. I looked in settings, but I could only find options to alter the
computers activity time before sleeping. Can someone advise me what I can do
to get the computer to sleep up to an hour?
