Hi Robin,
There is a full list of BT's Star Service Codes at the following:-

Just a warning though. I'm not sure exactly how all these services
stack up on your bill. My last home bill came to a fraction under £80
of which only £1.90 was for calls. The rest was made up of VAT,
Rental and Service Charges.
(We'll be moving to Virgin soon!)

I think it staarts with the star key and 4 digits.
The service can be switched on and off.
