Hi Andy, these are informational messages, and it just shows you the time elapsed etc. In terms of your freezing issue, I've not had that issue on the versions of CDex I've used since Windows Millennium! I'm exclaiming here because it's shocking to realize how long I've used CDex, and the first version was compatible for that version of Windows. Never had I come across a situation like yours.

Chris, thanks, this did help. Are there any other settings you'd suggest to change? My PC keeps freezing [using JFW 6.2] pretty much after ripping each single track. If I try to rip a complete cd, it freezes after the second track!

When the ripping begins, it says:

peak value minus 96 db 0

I don't know what this means, it also says time elapsed 0, time remaining 0, total time 0. I'd have thought these time fields would show something?

Any thoughts?

Thanks -

Andy

| Hi Andy, turn off the jitter correction. This seems to slow down CDex to
| some intolerable degree <smiles>. You can turn it off via a check box in
| the CD-ROM tab of CDex configuration, accessed with f4. Hope that helpsl.
