Yes I said that the other night and I seem to believe it was Jackie but in fairness and I know Jackie will agree, when she first told us about it she said that there had been previous thread on access and bcab. I just think it did take off though after Jackie gave such a comprehensive report.

I think someone should be contacting about the number of sales in which have been made to people on this list. The commition should go to the original poster regarding this thread. ----- Original Message ----- From: "martin houghton@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <martinhoughton@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 16, 2008 5:53 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Samsung NC10Hello everyone I have ordered my NC10 and should be receiving it in the next few days. I tried hooking it up to my hi-fisystem at the weekend, just to see if there was any background noise. Ifound the quality through my system to be very good indeed. On the speakers, JAWS is a bit tinny, and so is music, but you would expect that from such small speakers on such a neat device. But it isn't any worse than listening to TALKS or music through a mobile phone's speaker(s).I'd be more than happy to listen to an audio book, music or work with myscreen reader using headphones on the NC10 while travelling.Go for it!Jackie Cairns Braille Support Adviser Email: jackie.cairns@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sight and Sound Technology Welton House North Wing Summerhouse Road Moulton Park Northampton NN3 6WD Tel: 01604 798024 Fax: 01604 798090 Web: www.sightandsound.co.uk-----Original Message-----From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On BehalfOf Barbara Wilson Sent: 15 December 2008 19:16 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Samsung NC10Hi AllI have newly subscribed to this list, though I think I know many currentusers from other lists.I have caught up on the netbook thread and am reading some very good reviews of the Samsung NC10. I am considering buying a netbook and was wondering if the JAWS or Window Eyes users out there could tell me whatthe audio quality is like on this device? I've read excellent reviews atPlay.com, but none of them mention audio. I guess unless you are using it to play music, your average user isn't all that bothered about sound quality. However, there's nothing worse than listening to a screen reader through inferior, quiet or tiny speakers. So I'd read any feedback on the audio with great interest.RegardsBarbaraGet listed, network or find a business at an online directory of businesses owned and run by disabled people and associated support and advisory organisations: www.barkingbabs.co.uk______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
