Hi Derek,

I don't believe there is a driver for the Pacmate for either Talks or Mobile
Speak. They support the Humanware and handytech displays as far as I am
aware.

All the best

Hi Steve
>Just to inform you that both Mobile Speak and Talks also do Braille,

right ok but would it work with Pacmate?
Some background to my problem:
I am using a Versa Braille as a Braille textphone. However, this kit is
more than 20 years old and is on its last feet!

Blazie Engineering say that depending on the reason for a repair, it is
now very likely that if the kit fails, that's it, finished!
They did &2 years ago) suggest Pacmate as the replacement.
But then said there are problems with Pacmate connecting to the telephone
system in UK First they said grade 2 Braille wasn't supported, and when I
pointed out that didn't matter they then said there are other technical
problems but didn't say what they are.
I have since turned to Sight & Sound and they seem more helpful because
they have been discussing issues with BT's Textdirect manager.

Regards,
Derek
