I get promo cassettes from Marks and Spencer quite regularly. I've no
idea how I'm on that mailing list. Is that an RNIB thing? And do people
still have cassette players because I don't.

Hi,
I may be able to shed a bit of light on this one. RNIB is contracted by
Boots to publish their braille and audio editions of the Christmas
Catalogue. The mailing is made up of Boots own database and RNIB
customers who are happy to receive material from third parties.

The Boots database is managed by them and you would have to have
approached them to be added to it. If you have received it as an RNIB
customer, then you can contact the Helpline and ask to opt out of third
party mailings. Unfortunately there isn't an option to opt out of just
the Boots Christmas Catalogue.

If you send your catalogue back as no longer required, we do not
automatically opt you out of third party material, but if you aren't on
the RNIB database, then we would pass your details to Boots. Regards
Alison
