Hi Carol,
Yes, you are writing in plain text, without a doubt, but Central
European Windows is appearing at the top of your messages, as also
verified by Window-Eyes.
All the best

Not sure, Darran, but a friend told me he was getting that on my Header
message also. I don't recall altering the charset and, what's more, I'm
definitely writing in plain text.
What gives!
What should the character set be at anyway?

Hi,
Its because the email was in HTML, and the charset was explicitly
stated, so JFW read it out.
Andrew.

Hi List.
Can anyone explain why JAWS 5.1 said "Central European windows" before
starting to read this e-mail?
Its happened with a couple of other list mails as well.
Darran
