hi chris
I used to have such calls. apparently it is somebody trying to do a survey or maybe sell you something. they call a number of phones and speak to the first personb who answers. I believe you can register not to have these calls, but I cannot remember the number. directory enquiries or the post office may be able to give it to you. fran. ----- Original Message ----- From: "chris hallsworth" <christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Subject: [access-uk] Advice on strange phone calls

Hello all.
Please can you help?
Every few days or even daily my landline rings. When I answer it, it's as if no one is at the other end. When I dial 1471 they leave a telephone number of 0177391502. I am just wondering if anyone heard of this number and if not should I treat it as malicious? If so, how do I go about doing it? I am ex directory so I have no idea how they got hold of my number.
Strange indeed!
Many thanks in advance. It is greatly appreciated.
Take care.
